Mr. Darcy and I’s goal for the honeymoon is totally unwind and enjoy our first week as husband and wife living it up in Las Vegas. Since neither Mr. Darcy or I are huge gamblers, we have chosen some alternate activities for ourselves.

1. Walk through the Bellagio and check out their incredible glass ceiling.

2. Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Mr. Darcy and I both love watching the show River Monsters, so this should be lots of fun.

3. Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the MGM Grand. I am a huge dolphin lover.

4. Bodies- The Exhibition at Luxor

5. The CSI Experience at MGM Grand. Both Mr. Darcy and I love CSI. We watch all three versions of the show.

6. Ziplining down Fremont Street. I am super excited about this.

Also after careful review and more research we have added some more restaurants to our list. First we decided to enjoy dinner at Mon Ami Gambi instead of the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Although more casual, it’s patio seating allows for great people watching activites and excellent view of the Bellagio fountains, plus the menu is more our style (French bisto). We’re thinking early dinner on the patio followed by cocktails at the Mix lounge.

Also we had to add a buffet to the list, because it wouldn’t be Vegas without eating at a buffet. We have chosen the Buffet at the Wynn. It is supposed to be incredible. We will probably not eat that day in preparation for this experience. Haha.

Where are you going on your honeymoon? Are you planning lots of fun activities or just relaxing?

After much discussion Mr. Darcy and I have chosen our honeymoon. Due to our crazy schedules, I will be in grad school and Mr. Darcy will be opening a new medical clinic, we have decided not to jet-set across the world. We will be staying Vegas for the week after the wedding. Now neither Mr. Darcy nor I are big drinkers or gamblers, but alas we are super stoked about our choice. Here is the low down and what we have chosen for our Vegas adventure.

This our honeymoon suite. It’s the Spa Suite at Mandalay Bay.  Do you see the huge bathroom and jacuzzi tub? Mr. Darcy is super excited about the tub.

Can you tell what shows we are going to see? Cirque Du Soleil’s O and The Lion King. I had the choices down to four, O, Ka, The Lion King, and The Phantom of the Opera. Mr. Darcy chose Lion King and I chose O. Our culinary adventures will include the following:

We are also going to have lunch at Canaletto at the Venetian and probably enjoy a gondola ride.
