The Austen- Darcy Honeymoon Part 2   3 comments

Mr. Darcy and I’s goal for the honeymoon is totally unwind and enjoy our first week as husband and wife living it up in Las Vegas. Since neither Mr. Darcy or I are huge gamblers, we have chosen some alternate activities for ourselves.

1. Walk through the Bellagio and check out their incredible glass ceiling.

2. Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. Mr. Darcy and I both love watching the show River Monsters, so this should be lots of fun.

3. Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the MGM Grand. I am a huge dolphin lover.

4. Bodies- The Exhibition at Luxor

5. The CSI Experience at MGM Grand. Both Mr. Darcy and I love CSI. We watch all three versions of the show.

6. Ziplining down Fremont Street. I am super excited about this.

7. Check out the art gallery at City Center.

Also after careful review and more research we have added some more restaurants to our list. First we decided to enjoy dinner at Mon Ami Gambi instead of the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Although more casual, it’s patio seating allows for great people watching activites and excellent view of the Bellagio fountains, plus the menu is more our style (French bisto). We’re thinking early dinner on the patio followed by cocktails at the Mix lounge.

Also we had to add a buffet to the list, because it wouldn’t be Vegas without eating at a buffet. We have chosen the Buffet at the Wynn. It is supposed to be incredible. We will probably not eat that day in preparation for this experience. Haha.

Where are you going on your honeymoon? Are you planning lots of fun activities or just relaxing?

  1. I’m a big fan of vegas. We used to go on family vacations there all the time in the kid. I’ve only been once or twice since I’ve been 21, but it’s just as fun, if not more so, than I remember!

  2. Hello from Weddingbee!
I’m so excited to follow your journey!

Sounds like a blast! I especially love the ziplining! So much fun!

    • I think that is the part I am most excited about. I really wanted to do the bungy jumping off the stratosphere, but Mr. Darcy is extremely afraid of heights.
